EDF Tarif Bleu Calculator: Estimate Your French Electricity Bill
This calculator estimates the yearly cost, all taxes included, of an EDF Tarif Bleu contract, France's regulated electricity tariff, using the EDF price grid applicable from 1 August 2026. It adds the subscription for your subscribed power, from 3 to 36 kVA, to the price of each kWh under the Base, off-peak (Heures Creuses) or Tempo option.
Pick your option and power, then enter the yearly consumption shown on your bills. The calculation runs in your browser; nothing is sent or stored.
The calculation runs in your browser: no data is sent or stored.
Choose an option, a subscribed power and enter at least one consumption above 0 to see the estimate.
Good to know
Prices are those of the EDF grid, shown with all taxes included (excise duty, CTA and VAT).
Not included in the calculation: no Linky meter (€40.08 excl. tax per year), no meter index sent for more than 12 months (€25.62 excl. tax per year) and injection by a self-producer (€9.84 excl. tax per year).
The result is an estimate: your actual bill depends on your meter indexes and the billing period.

How does the calculator work out the bill?
The calculator applies the EDF grid as published: the yearly cost is the monthly subscription times 12, plus each consumption in kWh times its price. Grid prices already include taxes, so no tax is added on top.
- Yearly subscription = monthly subscription for your subscribed power × 12.
- Energy = kWh for each period (Base, peak and off-peak hours, or the six Tempo periods) × price per kWh.
- Total per year incl. tax = yearly subscription + energy; monthly average = total ÷ 12.
Worked example: on the Base option at 6 kVA, for 3,000 kWh in a year, the subscription costs €15.86 × 12 = €190.32 and the energy 3,000 × €0.2001 = €600.30, so €790.62 per year including tax. The 3,000 kWh is an example value, not an average household consumption.
What are the Tarif Bleu prices from 1 August 2026?
The EDF grid applicable from 1 August 2026 sets one subscription per subscribed power and one price per kWh for each option. On the Base option, a kWh costs 20.01 cents including tax at 3 and 6 kVA and 19.85 cents from 9 to 36 kVA. The tables list every power level published.

Tempo kWh prices are the same for every power level from 6 to 36 kVA.
Which Tarif Bleu options can a new customer still take?
On the Base option, only the 3 and 6 kVA levels remain open to new residential customers. The EDF grid states that the Base option from 9 to 36 kVA inclusive for residential customers has been phased out ("mises en extinction") and is no longer available to new subscribers.
The calculator still covers those levels because the grid still publishes their prices. The grid mentions no closure for the off-peak and Tempo options. For the Tempo option, read our Tempo tariff guide; for eligibility and switching, see the regulated electricity tariff guide.
What does the estimate leave out?
The estimate leaves out three yearly surcharges, excluding tax, that the EDF grid sets in some cases:
- no Linky meter (unless it is technically impossible to install one): €40.08 per year excl. tax;
- no meter index sent for more than 12 months: €25.62 per year excl. tax;
- individual self-producers who feed power into the grid: €9.84 per year excl. tax.
Taxes are already in the grid prices: the electricity excise duty (3.062 cents per kWh before VAT, according to EDF), the CTA network contribution (at the amount that applies, according to EDF, to most customers) and 20% VAT.
Your actual bill depends on the meter readings and the billing dates. This calculator gives an estimate for information and does not replace your supplier's bill. To compare peak and off-peak use, see our off-peak hours guide; to change supplier, see how to change electricity provider.
Where do the prices come from?
Every price comes from EDF's official grid, "applicable au 1er août 2026", offer for residential customers, accessed 20 October 2026. The 26 rows of the grid were extracted from the PDF and checked row by row against the document text.
